The Avaya J100 Wireless Module is an optional plug-in hardware module that adds Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity to compatible J100 Series IP phones. It provides 802.11a/b/g/n/ac wireless LAN connectivity for Avaya J129, J159, J179, and J189 IP phones, enabling deployment in locations where wired Ethernet is unavailable—ideal for transient locations, trade shows, retail environments, and work-at-home scenarios.

On the J179 and J189 IP phones, the module also enables Bluetooth 4.2 headset connectivity, supporting both Handsfree and Headset profiles with up to seven paired devices and a 10-meter range. Enterprise-grade security protocols including WPA2-Enterprise, EAP-FAST, and PEAP-MSCHAPv2 ensure secure wireless communications. The module requires J100 SIP 2.0 or later firmware for Wi-Fi functionality and J100 SIP 4.0 or later for Bluetooth support.
